Law enforcement sources said the incident started at 10:30 am. West York Police Department officials responded and set fire to the subject.
The suspect then clearly tried to barricaded himself inside the hospital and, it is believed that he died of a self-affected gun pellet wound, according to preliminary information.
At this point investigators are considering shooting as an incident of domestic violence, but warned that the investigation is in its initial stage.
UPMC said that no patient has been injured.
“We have received a gun’s report in UPMC Memorial, and shots have been shot.” “The gunman is caught, and no patient is injured. The hospital is now safe. It is a liquid state. The law is in the enforcement complex and is managing the situation.”
