The toll of death in Hamas-Run Gaza has crossed 50,000, as the Health Ministry in Gaza said on Sunday that at least 50,021 people have been martyred since the conflict with Israel started in October 2023.
The ministry also said that 113,274 people were injured in the ongoing war.
According to Gaza’s Civil Defense Agency, the death toll crossed 50,000, although these figures have not been verified independently. However, the United Nations has considered the data of the Ministry of Health to be reliable.
The toll of this week’s death increased after a large -scale truses from January 19 onwards, inspiring Israel to start heavy air strikes and renew its land.
In the last 24 hours, at least 39 deaths were reported, causing 673 to 673 since Israel’s operation on Tuesday.
A study published in the Lancet in early January suggested that the death toll in Gaza during the first nine months of the conflict was about 40% more than what Gaza was recorded by the Ministry of Health.
The latest figures of the Ministry of Health include 233 people, who were previously listed as missing, but whose deaths have now been confirmed.
