The top federal prosecutor for the Milwauki region and Eastern Wisconsin is out of a job as part of President Donald Trump’s “Clean House” effort, eliminating American lawyers of the rest of the biden-era.
Public Information Officer of the Department of Justice Kenneth Galls said the Gregory Hinstad time ended on Monday as an American Attorney for the eastern district of Wisconsin.
Richard ji. Frolling, which has been the first assistant American Attorney in the Milwauki office since 2015, was named acting US Attorney for the district until the replacement of Hansstad was named.
Attempts to reach Hinstad for comment failed.
While this step is part of Trump’s very public effort to change the leadership of the Department of Justice, it is customary for American lawyers when a new party occupies the White House.
The White House last week sent termination notices to several American lawyers across the country, appointed by former Democratic President Joe Biden.
Trump said in a post on truth social, “We should do the house immediately”.
Earlier this week, the Department of Justice announced the departure of American lawyers in Main, Arizona, Texas, South Carolina and Montana.

Visconsin Law School Graduate University, Hinstad joined the US Attorney Office for the eastern district of Visconsin as an assistant American Attorney in 2002.
Over two decades of time in the office, Hinstad prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including financial fraud, public corruption, bank robbery and drug conspiracy.
He was appointed as Deputy Chief of the Office Criminal Division in 2010, overseeing the office’s financial fraud and public corruption unit. The Hinstad climbed rank within the office, became the first assistant American Attorney in 2010, and starred in 2015 American Attorney.

In 2016, Hinstad was appointed an American Attorney, and remained in a position until 2018, when Matthew Krugger was tapped by Trump as head of the office during his first term.
Krugger was one of the about five dozen trump-era American lawyers, who were asked to resign in Joe Biden’s presidential post in 2021. Hansstad was sworn in as the top prosecutor for the eastern district on September 19, 2022.
Before visiting the US Attorney office, Hinstad in the eastern district, American Magistrate Judge William E. Calhan was a law clerk for Junior.
