Mikel Artetta has insisted that Arsenal still has “gear to take the game to a different level”.
Arsenal faced in Tuesday’s Champions League, PSV Eindhoven demanded an uptar in fate after being 13 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race at the first leg-first leg clash at Philips Stadion.
Arsenal has failed to score against West Ham and Nottingham Forest in his last two league games – and once again missing in the match with a huge shortage in the match, Kai Havartz, Gabriel Jesus, Boukeo Saka and Bukeo Saka and Gabriel Martinley injury.
This is the first time Arsenal has failed to score in back-to-back league games since May 2023. Asked how he can convince his innocent squad to increase his self-confidence, Arteta said: “By trying to explain how we are going to do it and why we do things. And they try to give it in the best possible way.
“In the last two results, it is also very different in terms of performance. The result we are not getting, but of course better, especially in the final game compared to the opposition.
“And the fact that we still have gears, even with players who are with us, to take some other gear games to a different level. When it comes to that stage, it is about lifting the level and standards.
“Every person should be in their best. And when we do so, we are actually a strong team with the team that we have and the relationship between us.”
Jurin Timber believes that the PSV tie is an opportunity to change the speed of the arsenal season.
How transformational the game can be, the defender of the Netherlands Timber said: “Yes, I think it’s an amazing league to play. It’s a wonderful league to play, I think we also showed in group stages that we have really done good and we have a good team. Tomorrow is a beautiful game that is to change and win the story.
“We have to score tomorrow, we have to win and you have only two games in the Champions League, so you don’t get another chance, so we have to go for it in this game.”
