San Francisco – He is the top target for the opening of Wilnova amidst speculation, Maryland’s men’s basketball coach Kevin Willard was non -comprehensive about his future with Terrapins after Florida was terminated by Florida on Thursday night.
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” he said. “I will be honest with you. I have not talked to my agent. I have not talked to my wife.”
Willard, who finished his third year as the coach of Terrapies after a 12 -year run at the Seton Hall, expressed his discomfort about the status of the Athletic director of Maryland. Damon Evans left for the same role in SMU last week.
Willard said, “Right now I have the biggest concerns in life, I don’t know who is going to be my boss.” “The boy who brought me here – who really likes me, but appreciates me to bring me to college parks – no longer here and I don’t know who we are going to rent and today at the day and age that makes me a little worried.”
Willard said that he had not had any talks with any other school, but has indicated to his agent.
“This is going to be a family decision,” said Willard. “I like college parks very much. I love Maryland. When you are at this point in your career, I have to keep everything in mind, but I have not talked to anyone, so I don’t know what I am going to do.”
After Thursday’s Sweet 16 defeat, a Maryland spokesman told several outlets: “Our focus focuses on keeping the coach (Kevin) Willard at the University of Maryland.”
In three years in Maryland, Willard has compiled a record of 65–39. This year’s attendance in The Sweet 16 was the first of Maryland since 2016 and the second since 2003.
