Mark Carney was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Canada on Friday, taking charge of a country after President Donald Trump returned to power in American relations.

“We are going to be right to work,” he asked reporters before taking oath of office. The first cabinet meeting will be held after the swearing -in ceremony. Diplomatic sources told AFP He will make his first foreign trip as Prime Minister in Europe next week.
On Sunday, at the age of 60, Carney is a political newbie, which has never won a chosen public office, but his campaign skills will soon be tested for the general election with Canada.
The threats generated by Trump are expected to dominate the vote.
The US President has demanded that Canada be convicted, in which a comprehensive import tariff has been implemented and the country further threatened the levy that it is not “viable” on its own and should be anxious by Washington.
Carney, who was sworn in as the 24th Prime Minister of Canada at a ceremony in Ottawa, described Trump’s stance as Canada has faced the most serious challenge in a generation. After winning the Liberal Party leadership race, on Sunday, Carney said, “Everything in my life has prepared me for this moment.”
He was an investment banker in Goldman Sachs before serving as the Governor of Bank of Canada during the 2008–2009 financial crisis and also led the Bank of England through the upheaval around the Brexit vote.
Carney has demanded to present himself as a purpose-produced to lead a country through a trade war with the United States, once the closest ally of Canada but now a country that he says that Canada can “no longer trust”.
In a group of seven meetings in Quebec, Canadian Foreign Minister Melani Jolie Jolie, who holds his job in the new cabinet, said that Carney would bring a “new dynamic” to American diplomacy.
Speaking before administering the oath to Carney, Jolie said he and the Secretary of US State Marco Rubio, who are in G7, were working on installing a call “over the next few days” between Trump and Carney.
The Carney team of 23 ministers fell below 36 of Trudeau, holding the origin of the old guard working with Washington, which includes Francois-Filip Champagne, Dominic Labbank in the Finance Portfolio, which proceeds to Business and Defense Minister Bill Blair.
Race to tighten
Trump’s tariffs and insults have increased Canadian politics. At the beginning of the year, liberals were leaving the conservatives behind by 20 points in the elections. But in the weeks since Trudeau announced his plans to resign on 6 January, the race has been tightened in a closer draw.

Trudeau’s support had fallen in the last one year, but in response to Trump’s response, he stood partly after a series of firm speeches.
