Infostealer Malware is currently one of the biggest cyber security threats. There are different types of malware, and it comes with all types of names. Some are also sold as software services, where hackers paid menstrual fees to use people to use scams, such as you pay to reach Netflix.
Infostealer Malware Economy is clearly booming, and its latest evidence is a Kaspersky report that claimed that at least 25 million users were targeted between the beginning of 2023 and the end of 2024.

Despite these emerging hazards, the Redline remained the most wide infoseller, which was responsible for 34.36% of all infections.

Infostealer Malware is growing at an unimaginable speed
By August 2024, researchers estimated that 15.9 million devices were killed by Infostealer Malware in 2023. But by March 2025, the number climbed to 16.49 million, crossing the earlier predictions 3.69%. The new log files since 2023 are still popping up on dark web platforms, suggesting that the actual number of infections was more than expected. By March 2025, researchers have tracked over 9 million infections from 2024. The final count is expected to cross the 2023 numbers, but not by a big margin.
