Lyon’s manager Paulo Fonseca may face a seven-month ban after facing a referee in a 2–1 victory over the breast on Sunday, the latest incident in the row running in the row on the lack of honor shown to the authorities in France.
Fonseca was sent deeply during anger to stop to react to a potential breast penalty.
After being red-carded, an Eret Fonseca again faced the referee Benoite Milot and leaned very close to her face before Lyon captain Corentin Toliso pushed away. Fonseca tried to face the referee for the second time and was restrained by a couple of Lyon players.
Portuguese coaches, who could face a long suspension, later apologized.
“I just want to say that I am sorry for what I did. I should not do so,” Fonseca told Broadcaster Dzan. “Perhaps we do things that are not right. Forgive me.”
The handball decision then went to VAR and a fine was not paid.
Milot said that Fonseka’s behavior was unacceptable.
He said, “He moved towards me with a intimidation attitude and I decided to send him directly,” he told Sports Daily Liquip. “It seems, it seems, a minor contact with the nose. (This) was a particularly intimidating, aggressive attitude, which could hardly imagine with a professional coach.”
The incident came after accusing the French referee of French referee of Marsile President Pablo Longoria in the last weekend in the last weekend. Longoria was banned for 15 matches.
