New Delhi: The final ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand on Saturday took an unexpected turn during the 39th over of Pakistan’s innings, when the floodlight at Bay Oval suddenly dropped out of mid-delivery, which shocked the players, umpires and fans.
As Jacob Dafi instigated Tahib Tahir to bowl with Pakistan on 218-8, the lights unexpectedly failed after distributing the ball.
In total darkness, Tahir went away from ease, while the ball missed the stump narrowly and allegedly tricked the border.

This bizarre obstruction expressed the tour of Pakistan, whatever it is but has been smooth.
After losing the T20I series 4–1 and the ODI series 3–0, Pakistan’s crisis continued despite the brightness of resistance.
Babur Azam (50), Abdullah Shafiq (33), and Mohammad Rizwan (37) gave a solid basis, but once again, the middle and lower orders fell under pressure.
33 The dismissal of Tahib Tahir in a very 39th over – caught by Safart – sealed the fate of Pakistan as he turned to 221, chasing 265.
Earlier in the match, another dramatic moment occurred when Imam-ul-Haq killed his helmet grill, as he was dropped from the ground.
Despite these failures, Pakistan looked under control through chase, only for Ben Sears’ vivid five wickets and Dafi’s clutch bowled him once again.
