Elon Musk has reignited a long-running conspiracy theory with one of his latest tweets linking US President Donald Trump with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The public row between Trump and the billionaire has worsened after Musk publicly accused Trump of being named in government files related to the crimes of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
His allegations came after Trump administration recently acknowledged it is reviewing tens of thousands of documents, videos and investigative material that his “MAGA” movement says will unmask public figures complicit in Epstein’s crimes.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: (Trump) is in the Epstein files,” Musk posted on his social media platform, X, as a growing feud with the president boiled over into a vicious public spat.
“That is the real reason they have not been made public.”
Notably, the clash between Trump and Elon Musk is expected to make Britain’s Prince Andrew subject of renewed scrutiny over his friendship with Epstein.
Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles, who lost his royal titles and privileges’ over his relations with Epstein might trigger fresh criticism and draw negative media attention.
This risks creating further problems for the monarch and his heir, Prince William, who are trying hard to reform the institution in order to modernize the monarchy.
The royal family’s reputation could suffer, impacting their efforts to modernize and improve public perception.
In 2021, US. prosecutors who probed the activities of British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell and others linked to Epstein considered Prince Andrew a person of interest in the investigation.
Andrew settled a civil sexual assault lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre for an undisclosed amount in February 2022.
A month before the settlement, the Royal Family removed Prince Andrew’s military links and royal patronages.
