King Charles has no plans to ‘stop working’ as he dedicatedly fulfills royal duties
King Charles has made it clear he has no plans to slow down as the monarch continues royal duties with quick and jam-packed visit to Canada.
The King and Queen Camilla recently made a whistlestop visit to the country for the state opening of Parliament, where Charles gave a powerful 25-minute speech outlining the Canadian Government’s plans.
Speaking on GB News, royal commentator Pandora Forsyth said the trip is a strong sign that the King is still very active and committed to his role.
“It’s so significant,” Forsyth said. “This very much goes to show that the King is not going to stop working any time soon.”
She continued, “This is a very quick trip for him across to Canada, but extremely significant, giving everything that’s happening on the political spectrum at the moment.”
The expert went on to note, “We don’t usually see the Royal Family be so close with politicians and actually see them in the mix of it.
“We see them representing various different diplomats when they come over for state events, but we don’t really see them at the heart of it.”
“Of course, we see it within our own houses of Parliament, and of course, there’s been a few changes, so we might have seen that a bit more regularly than we would have hoped over the past few years, but to see this in Canada is quite something.”
She said Charles “stepped into his late mother’s shoes,” referring to the late Queen Elizabeth II, who breathed her last on September 22nd, 2022.
“This is the third time that this has happened, and the King, of course, is stepping into his late mother’s shoes,” Forsyth said.
“This will be extremely personal for him, and I’m sure it won’t go amiss for him within his brain.
“Even the throne that he’s sitting on was commissioned by his late mother from the the trees in Windsor Great Park, so everything has got significance in this from a personal perspective for him.”
