
Mount Maunaganui: The national team had a dispute between Khushdil Shah and the audience on Saturday after Kiwi faced a clean sweep in the ODI series.
Some spectators allegedly indulged in hecking and abusing the players of the Pakistan team after the end of the match.
The comments did not sit well with all -rounder Shah, who attempted to face Hekler, but was quickly stopped by her peers and security personnel.
The scene quickly went viral on social media, forcing the PCB to respond. A body spokesperson clarified that derogatory comments were made by foreign fans, and they raised anti -Pakistan slogans in the presence of players.
A formal complaint by the Pakistan team was filed, after which the security authorities dropped two disruptive fans from the stadium.
PCB said in its official statement, “Pakistan cricket team management strongly condemned the outrageous language directed by foreign audiences on national players.”
“During the match, the foreign audience made unfair remarks to the players on the field. When the anti -Pakistan slogans were shouted, cricketer Khushdil Shah stepped into and requested the audience to stay.”
In response, the Afghan audience extended the situation by using further aggressive language in Pashto.
Following the complaint of the Pakistan team, the stadium officials intervened and evacuated both the audience. ,
