Juju Watkins Women’s College has become one of the top players in basketball.
The USC guard maintained a season-ending knee injury during the second round game in the NCAA tournament.
While the USC got the Canasus State in The Sweet 16, the short-hand Trojan was removed from the controversy in Elite Eight. The next day of Uconn’s 78-64 victory over UCONN, Watkins thanked for the support received since tearing ACL.

Uconn’s victory over the USC brought Hakis ticket to the last four. Uconn is facing UCLA Friday.
The USC entered this year’s tournament as top seeds. Trojan also earned the number 1 seed last year and upgraded Elite eight. Uconn also abolished USC in Elite Eight in 2024.
Watkins had gone into a basket on a rapid break for about five minutes in the game of March 24 against the Mississippi state. Her right knee appeared on the play, and she fell on the floor, where she remained in pain for more than a minute, grabbed her knee.

Watkins held an excellent freshman campaign together during the 2023–24 season, and his impressive performance continued this year. The native of Los Angeles scored 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assistance in 33 matches this season.

USC coach Lindsay Gotlib said Watkins’ position for the 2025-26 season is not clear.
“We don’t know what Juju will do. Will she take the whole year and redsirt? Will she try to come back to some point,” Gotlib told ESPN monday. “They are not interacting for now, but I think we will remain an elite team regardless of those circumstances. We will have time to find out how great should be great, even if Juju is not out of there.”
