After months of rumors and whispering, it is now official – Jonathan Anderson Dior is the new creative director of men.
This news was confirmed today, on 17 April, during the group’s annual shareholders’ meeting, LVMH was none other than Bernard Arnault.
Anderson will first step into a role organized by Kim Jones, who ended his seven -year term at the French Fashion House in January.
The first collection of designers for Dyer will be unveiled at Paris Fashion Week Men in June, which will mark one of the highest anticipated debut of the year.
The appointment is heated by Anderson’s recent departure on heels, the Spanish heritage house that she converted into a trailblazing force in global fashion over the last 11 years.
Her time was punctured by cultural-defined moments: Rihanna’s unforgettable ruby red super bowl look, the dazzling renaissance tour nills of Beyonsey, and cinematic expeditions which have icons like Dame Maggi Smith, Obray Plaza, Josh O’Coner, and Tyler Rasel.
These creative Vijay made it clear why the dyer would be to knock.
Anderson’s journey began in the upper regions of fashion in London.
After graduating from the London College of Fashion in 2005, he worked as a visual merchant for Prada, advised by veteran Manuella Pavasi. He launched his own label, JW Anderson in 2008, originally focused on only Menswear.
It was not until 2010 that his brand was shown on the official London Fashion Week schedule, thanks to the support of the British Fashion Council.
Like contemporary Craig Green, Priya Ahluwalia, Wales Bonor, and Robin Lynch, Anderson’s roots in the London scene are deep – a scene that recently suffered a blow with the cancellation of the June version of the men of the London Fashion Week in favor of a Paris showroom.
Before he landed in Lowe, Anderson also had a stent in Versus, Young Versace Defusion Line.
Showing his first collection in June 2013, he was handed by hand by Donatela Versace to replace Christopher Kane.
A few months later, it was announced that he would take over in the lowway, while LVMH also achieved a minority stake in JW Anderson, strengthening his role as one of the most influential designers in his generation.
Although her appointment in Dyer does not come as a total surprise among the current game of fashion creative director musical chairs, today’s confirmation seems like a historic moment – not only for the house but also for Anderson.
Dyer is one of the most recognizable and iconic luxury brands globally, and Anderson’s vision will now shape its menwear future.
During the Paris Fashion Week, her dyer men have been started for 27 June 2025. While Bernard Arnault did not offer additional details, speculation continues that Anderson may eventually look after the woman of Dyer – monumentally starred by Maria Grazia Chiuri.
For now, the spotlight is square on men’s division, and Anderson’s next chapter is already promising to be united for fashion history books.
