Bumrah, Jasprit, Jasprit, Mumbai Indians, will be available for selection for the playing XI for their home game at Wankhedi Stadium against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday, confirmed by head coach Mahela Jayawardi. “He (Bumrah) is available, he is training today, and should be available (for RCB game),” Jayverdin said. “He arrived last night, he had his sessions with the NCA (National Cricket Academy, now the center of Excellence), to finalize it, he has been handed over to our physio. He is bowling today, so everyone is good.”
Earlier in the day, Mumbai Indians confirmed the return of Pesar in the team’s camp with a video on social media, titled ‘Ready to Rowar’. Bumrah last played competitive cricket in the Sydney Test in the first week of January this year. He faced a stress reaction in the back, which remembered him in Dubai in the India vs England series and The Men in Blue’s Champions Trophy title-winning campaign.
Bumrah’s return will be a relief for Mumbai Indians, which ranks 8th in IPL standing after four matches. He has suffered three defeats so far. In this season, Mumbai played the role of inexperienced Indian bowlers like Vignesh Puthur, Ashwani Kumar and Satyanarayana Raju.
Mumbai posted a clip on their social media handle, where Kiron Pollard can be hoisted on his shoulders, while the rest of the team breaks into a thunderous applause.

“Boom (Bumrah) is coming back from a very decent trimming, so we need to give him that place,” Jayawardane said. “There is not much hope. Jaspreet knowing that he will be ready for it. We are very happy to find him in the camp, the experience he brings, that extra voice in the middle, interacting with the boulty (Trent Bowlt), chatting with a lamp (four) or any other little bowler advises that we are also very valuable for him.”
