Jamie Verdie has announced that he will leave Leicester City after playing at the Premier League Club for 13 years. The club was removed from the Premier League. Wardi helped the club in the Premier League title in 2016, defying the 5,000–1 President Auds. The club welcomed the influence of Wardi to the club in 13 years, calling it its “greatest player”. Vardi said that there was “anger”, but there was also “sadness” within him about the season, where the club’s charge was confirmed with five matches in the EPL.
“Nine years ago, we impossible – we won the Premier League,” Vardy said in a video message on Instagram, in which she also remembered to win the FA Cup in 2021 and reach the Champions League quarter -finals in 2017. “Those memories will last for a lifetime.”
Striker joined the lester from Fleetwood Town for 1 million pounds (now $ 1.33 million) in 2012. Since then he has scored 143 goals for the club, which holds him at number 15 in the list of all-time target-players of the competition. Wardi, famously scored in a record 11 straight game as Leisters proceeded to win the Premier League title.
Aywat Srivadhprabha, president of the lecester, said: “He holds a place in the hearts of all the people associated with Lacester City, and he definitely holds my deepest respect and affection. I am an endless grateful for everything given to this football club.”
Verdie speaks on his future
In a video message on his social media accounts, the striker said: “My only regrets, and I am destroyed about it, this is that I am not saying goodbye to a better season back. This is not the way I wanted to finish my career here.”
Vardi clarified that he was not retiring.
“I want to keep playing and do what I like the most: score the goal. Hopefully there are one or two more for the lecester before the end of the season and there are many more in the future. I can be 38 years old, but I still have the desire and ambition to do so much.”
