Bengaluru: After several weeks it first achieved two satellites in space as part of the Docking Experiment (Spadex) mission, ISRO said on Wednesday that it successfully made two satellites incarnate. It potentially paves the way for more docking efforts using the same satellites as ISRO said that it will do after initial docking.
ISRO said that unnatural operation took place today at around 9.20 pm in 460 km circular orbit with 45 ° tilt. It follows successful docking of satellites on 16 January 2025. The space agency stated that the sequence for ignores was the expansion of the second satellite, the release of the lever, the disintegration of the liver and the “deciparter” command between the two satellites.
“The satellites are now freely orbiting and their health is normal. With this operation, ISRO has successfully performed all the capabilities required for randezavas, docking and immoral operations in a circular orbit, ”said ISRO.
It states that the operation was closely monitored through ground stations in Bengaluru, Lucknow and Mauritius. Officials said that the entire ground simulation and analysis were important to achieve the unspecified in the first attempt.
According to ISRO, with a viable operational window identified from March 10 to March 25, the in-arbit performance of the docked satellites was massively analyzed. ISRO’s plans are planned to conduct further experiments with satellites in the coming days.
ISRO President V Narayanan told TOI on 17 February: “… this is not a one -time operation. We will organize several docking efforts to showcase the process firmly and to demonstrate our ability to start the Central March repeatedly. ,
Now that the ignorance is complete, more docking efforts are expected to evaluate: How the ISRO can execute many docking exercises, how well the algorithms perform in different circumstances, how the integrated inertial system works and how the propulsion system performs during repeated operations.
As the first time reported by TOI, for the next phase of docking tests, ISRO plans to separate satellites from separate distance, unlike the initial approach.
