UNICEF says that the Israeli blockade Gaza is threatening health services for children, including newborns, in the Gaza strip.
Rosalia Boln, a spokesman of UNICEF, said that blocks on humanitarian aid, which includes vaccines and ventilaters for pre-term infants, would “be destructive of real-life” for children and their parents.
“If we are unable to bring it into it, regular vaccination will come at a stagnation,” he said. “Newborn units will not be able to take care of preterum babies, so this is a real -life result that we are working very soon, if we are unable to resume the upcoming support supply.”
Boln, who lives in Gaza, said that the current supply has already been distributed to a large extent in the entire enclave.
“The needs are so high that we are not able to stock the goods … that’s why these latest restrictions are so destructive.
He said, “The first phase of ceasefire was not just a break in enmity … It was actually a lifeline for the families here,” she said. “The mood here is very sad; Families with which I speak are deeply worried about what the future will be. ,
Mayor Nizar Ayash of Dir L-Balah region of Gaza has said that due to the ongoing Israeli blockade, fuel deficiency will make it almost impossible to treat sewage or clean water.
He said, “Closing the crossing will affect all aspects of life in Gaza, not only the Dear El-Balah municipality,” he said.
“We are ringing the alarms because we are afraid of the fuel that municipalities need to treat sewage, pump water from wells, and will also be cut to lift and remove waste. This is a very difficult situation. ,
