
Iran’s supreme leader Ayatolla Ali Khamenei said on Monday that if he works on the threat of President Donald Trump’s bomb, it will receive a strong blow until Tehran reaches a new nuclear deal with Washington.
Trump on Sunday reiterated his threat that Iran would be bombed if he does not accept his proposal for dialogue mentioned in a letter sent under Iran in early March, giving Tehran a two -month window to decide.
State media said Iran on Monday warned the Switzerland’s embassy about Trump’s dangers, which represents American interests and acts as a mediator between Washington and Tehran. In his warning, Tehran expressed determination to respond to “decisive and immediate” for any danger.
“America and Israel’s enmity has always been. They threaten to attack us, which we don’t think it is very probable, but if they do any mischief, they will definitely receive a strong mutual shock,” Khamenei said.
“And if they are thinking of treason inside the country like previous years, the Iranian people will treat them themselves,” he said.
Iranian officials recently convicted the West for unrest, including protests on the death of Mahsa Amini in 2022-2023, a woman allegedly detained for inciting hijab rules, and the fuel price in nationwide protests in 2019 increases in 2019.
Last week, Iran responded to the US letter, President Masoud Peseshkian on Sunday said that Tehran would not enter a direct conversation with Washington, but was ready to continue the negotiations indirectly in accordance with the prohibition from Khameni.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmayel Bagei tweeted on Monday, “An open threat to the state head against Iran is a shocking threat to the great essence of international peace and security.”
“Violence gives rise to violence, forgets peace peace. America can choose courses and accept results.”
Revolutionary guard aerospace commander Amirli Hajizade threatened US forces in the Middle East, commenting to the media that “Americans have at least 10 basis in the region with 50,000 soldiers. They are in a glass house and should not throw stones.”
In his first 2017-21 tenure, Trump withdrew to the US from the 2015 deal between Iran and the world powers, which put strict boundaries on Tehran’s disputed nuclear activities in exchange for restrictions. Trump also reiterated US sanctions.
Since then, Iran has crossed the limit of that deal on uranium enrichment.
Western powers accuse Iran of being a Clandstine Agenda, which is appropriate for a civil nuclear power program, which they say to develop nuclear weapons capacity by enricing uranium up to high level of fee purity. Tehran says that its nuclear program is fully for civil energy purposes.
