Indian Premier League cricket team Royal Challengers Bangalore stepped into the Delhi High Court on Thursday and accused a YouTube advertisement of disliked their trademark.
Justice Saurabh Banerjee, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) reserved their order after hearing the presentations of the parties for prohibition on the interim argument.
Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited filed a case against Uber India Systems Private Limited, claiming that Uber Moto’s YouTube advertisement dislikes his trademark with the title “Badis in Bengaluru Ft.
RCB stated that Sunrisers Hyderabad’s cricketer head, the main character in the video, dislikes his trademark.
Talking about the video advertisement, the RCB lawyer said that the cricketer can be seen running towards the Bengaluru Cricket Stadium, in which the signage of “Bengaluru vs Hyderabad” can be seen for the purpose of ruining the sainase, takes a spray paint and writes “Royli challenge” to Bengaluru, which challenges Bangalore.
The lawyer said that when a negative comment is made, there is inequality and it is said that Uber Moto, Sunrisers Hyderabad, being the commercial sponsor of the IPL team, promoted his product, which is booking a ride, used RCB’s trademark during his business, which was a “deceptive version”, which was composed under law.
The lawyer representing Uber said that RCB “seriously exempted” the spirit of public humor. The general message of the advertisement, the lawyer said, there was a match between RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Bengaluru Cricket Stadium on 13 May and since it was a city with traffic jam, “The public should use Uber Moto”.

Uber’s lawyer stated that good humor, fun and feast feeling are internal for advertising messages and these factors will be “killed” if such a standard, as looted by RCB, is implemented.
Advertisement viewed 1.3 million times on social media platforms and received several comments from users.
Royals Challengers Bangalore will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on 13 May.
