Gujarat’s Titans captain Shubman Gill was fined Rs 12 lakh against Delhi’s capitals at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday to maintain a slow rate-by-rate during his IPL 2025 match, marking the crime of the team’s first over-rate crime.
A fine was imposed under Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to minimum over-perpetual offenses. Gill, who went out for seven runs in the match, joins other captains who have faced a similar fine this season.

DC’s Exer Patel, MI’s Hardik Pandya, RR’s Ryan Parag and Sanju Samson, and Rishabh Pant of LSG have all been fined for over-per-rate crimes in IPL 2025.
Despite the penalty, Gujarat’s Titans won the match, successfully chasing 204 runs with four balls to challenge the Ahmedabad summer situation.

Jose Butler played an important role in the victory, scoring unbeaten 97 off 54 balls. They b. Sai scored an important 60 -run partnership with Sudarshan and 119 runs with Sherfen Rutherford.
Chase marked a historic moment for GT as it was the first successful discovery of more than 200 clans in his IPL history. This was also the first time that any team chased such a target against the capitals of Delhi.
    Who is that IPL player?
GT’s bowling attack was contributed significantly, in which Prasad Krishna took 4-41. Mohammad Siraj, Arshad Khan, Ishant Sharma, and R. Sai Kishore claimed one wicket each.
Jeet has taken the Gujarat Titans, IPL 2022 champion to the top of the 2025 season points table with 10 points from seven matches. Delhi Capital currently stood second, which is different from the net run rate.
GT faced defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Garden on Monday evening, especially Gill’s former IPL team.
