New Delhi, India (CNN) -Scientists have closed several on-board devices to prevent rising temperatures inside India’s first unmanned lunar spacecraft.

India’s first lunar investigation, the spacecraft carrying Chandrayaan -1 goes away from Sriharikota.

Mileswami Annadurai, the project director of the lunar mission, told CNN that the temperature on Chandrayaan -1 had risen to 49 ° C (120 ° F).

The growth occurred in the form of craft, the moon – which is revolving around – and the sun rolled down, an event that Annadurai said that was not unexpected and which would last by the end of December.

Annadurai said, “We have shut down the system (rider), on which it is not necessary,” Annadurai said, damaging the possibility of loss and adding that the temperature was now down to 40 ° C (104 ° F).

The heat on Chandrayaan -1 should not exceed 50 ° C (122 ° F), Annadurai said -but insisted that the organ is designed to face up to 60 ° C (140 ° F).

Chandrayaan-1-Chandrayaan means “Moon Craft” in Sanskrit-was successfully started from Southern India on 22 October. Video See the launch of India’s first lunar mission »

Its two-year mission is to take high-resolution of the moon surface, three-dimensional images, especially permanently shaded polar areas. The group stated that it would discover evidence of water or ice and try to identify the chemical structure of some lunar rocks.

Earlier this month, the Moon’s investigation separated from Chandrayaan -1 and successfully crashed on the surface of the moon.

Officials say the TV-shaped investigation, which is adorned with a painting of the Indian flag, hit the moon surface at a speed of 5,760 kilometers per hour (3,579 mph).

It sent data to Chandrayaan -1 before the effect, but did not intend to recover after that.

Chandrayaan -1 is carrying payload from the United States, the European Union and Bulgaria. India plans to share data from the mission with other programs including NASA.
