“Yesterday, Rahul sir called me, and I was not feeling good, so I did not go for practice. He called me to tell me that I will bat at number 3. And I am always ready for these challenges. I think when someone shows banks and trust on me, I think anyone is in a video on his official social media.
Despite struggling in his first two matches, Rana was firm to change things. He emphasized that high -pressure conditions are part of the IPL, and he was eager to contribute to RR’s success.
“High pressure is in all 14 games because it is the number one league in the world. And as a batsman, as a player, this pressure is always whether you are coming after victory or loss. They were two points very important. We had those points since the very beginning, but it is fine. It was fine. The last two games had a lot of situations, and we learned a lot from those games,” they said.
Rana also explained how he imagined his vision for the game after Dravid’s call, helping him to execute his match -winning performance.
“So when he (Dravid) said, I talked to myself about such shots that I can play on this wicket that will help in my team. When you have time to score, you will score runs. You were trying in the first two matches, but the truth is that when you come with your game plan, it gives you an increase,” he said.
