A good case is that between the formats of two white balls, the Indian women’s team is better suited to the 50 -over format. An ODI is coming to a house position with the World Cup (perhaps in a hybrid model, based on the decision of Pakistan’s matches), a good opportunity comes to assess a triangular-nation tournament in Sri Lanka, where the team stands.
Recently, while playing evening matches mainly in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Harmanpreet Kaur and the company will have to get a habit of day’s fixtures in the subcontinent summer, as they face a solid South African side led by hosts Sri Lanka and Laura Volwart.
Under the head coach Amol Mujumdar, the Indian think tank is quite tampering with squads in recent times. In addition to Smriti Madhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh, the sole regularly, bowling line-up has seen a lot of chopping and changing.
The squad selected for this Tri-nation saw Arundhati Reddy and Sneh Rana-Ek Pesar and Spinner making their comeback respectively. Amjot Kaur, who holds a solid all-round-round campaign at WPL, would be looking at the lost space in the Indian side due to prolonged injuries.
Some new people, as well as Pace-Bauling all-rounder Kashway Gautam and left-arm spinner Mr. Charani earned their calls behind the impressive WPL returns. Shuchi Upadhyay of Madhya Pradesh, another left hand spinner, is a fresh entrance.
India should quickly find out its bowling combinations, but the fitness of their main pacers has also been a concern. Both Renuka Singh Thakur and Titus Sadhu were unavailable for the series, while Pooja Vistrkar continues to sideline. Therefore, there is a possibility of falling on-up on Arundhati and Kashvi, in which Amanjot provides back-ups.

But it is in the spin department that the conspiracy is primarily vested, given that India is likely to encounter during the World Cup in Colombo.

Speaking before the tournament, Harmanpreet said that he is excited about 20 -year -old, Charani, who impressed the Delhi Capital Management in the nets, which was assigned a place in the WPL Final playing XI, where he took some wickets. Harmanpreet, as well as Volvard also talked about the importance of management of fitness in harsh situations.
“Heat is going to play a big role. It is very important to keep yourself hydrated. For the last 3-4 months, we are playing most of the night games and after a long time, we are going to play during the day. Kaushal is going to be the same. But keeping ourselves fresh is something that I am giving great importance,” HormanPrite said.
Volvardt said, “It’s certainly too hot what we are using to go back home. We are now going in winter so this is a shock for the system that comes here.”
For Sri Lanka, there are four unaccounted players on a young looking side, including some recent U19 World Cup names. South Africa, sometimes under the leadership of a reliable Volvard, will be without star all-rounder Marizain Cupp.
