American Grandmaster Hans Neemon made an appearance in the Grainian Chess Freestyle Open after his mysterious final -minute bridge from Paris leg of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour last week. Playing against Andreas Seiolak, a German’s Fid Master finished over 8000 places in the world and with a classical rating of 2198, Neemon forced to resign in 23 tricks after implicating the white king.
Neemon’s presence in the event increased the possibility of a meeting of Arc-Namesis Magnus Carlsen on the board later in the tournament. The pair was involved in the infamous fraud scam in 2022 when Carlson withdrew Neeman from the Sinquifild Cup after losing a game. It prosecuted $ 100 million from allegations of cheating and American. No estimated evidence was ever found to suggest that Neeman cheated.
Neemon was to play at the Paris event of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour that ended on Monday, but was withdrawn without offering a clarification exactly two days before the incident started. The organizers found the last minute replacement at Nodirbek Abdusatorov.
Jaan Henic Buetnar, who is the force behind the freestyle chess tour, told the Tech Tech app that Neeman had refused to respond to his texts or emails and instead opposed to another member of the organizing committee to write an email, who was to declare his return due to “personal reasons” without explaining anything.
The Granecane Chess Freestyle Open event is being done with the Grenic Chess Open, which is one of the world’s largest open events held annually in Carlsuhe, Germany. Apart from Carlson and Neemon, some of the world’s best players Ian Napomonachchi, Arjun Erigasi, Fabiano Karuana and Vincent Keymer are in action. Arvind Chitparam of India is also in action.
In Carlson Round 2, Czech teenager will take on Veclav Finak, while Neemon will face Andrei Daviyakin. Arjun beans will take Kan Gokarkan, while Arvind faced McIez Clacovski.
