Anyone would like to open the innings in T20. You have a little more time. I am enjoying opening in this format.

India has great talent and is a quality opener and top-order batsman. I focus on myself and try to improve so that I can be a better batsman. Whenever I get an opportunity to play for the country, I should be equipped for it.
Which batsman or left -handed batsman has done fashion on his game?
I am watching a lot of Murali Vijay (East India and Tamil Nadu opener) videos. I liked the way I went to the crease and the way he batted.
You are the fastest Indian for 1000 IPL Run. next target?
Record for the most runs in IPL, I like it. But right now, all this is about the child’s steps and go to win.
You were purchased in 2022 for Rs 20 lakh and was retained for Rs 8.5 crore before this IPL. This is a quantum leap. Does it inspire or unite you?
This is a good question. I see it differently. Now I am in a different value bracket. This gives me more freedom because there is no fear or restriction from my perspective. It is about cricket from now on. Instead of searching all this and giving my best, it is about thinking what I will do to earn money.
You played for Surrey in 2023. Are you looking at a county contract this year too?
I would like to play some more county games. A county stent will definitely have a major impact on my batting. When I used to play for Surrey, I was made aware of very difficult fast bowling and swinging conditions.
How is it playing with former England captain Jose Butler?
It is exciting. Experience and knowledge that he assures me from there. I have to learn a lot from him.
