The school announced on Monday on Monday, Navy Athletic Director Chet Gladchuk, FBS will retire after 24 years, second prolonged tanicard athletic director.
According to the release, the Naval Academy Athletic Association will begin a national discovery and the successor of Gladchuk “will take responsibilities on time infection.” Gladchuk “will be involved with capital projects for profit and in support of the physical mission.”
Gladchuk said in a prepared statement, “The day the opportunity to represent the Navy Academy of the United States was extended 24 years ago, Kathy and I have been committed to its mission with the greatest sense of responsibility and privilege.”
“In addition, many men and women who are alumni or will be, have inspired us not to reduce the hope of pursuing excellence in every dimension of our service every day. Our Sangh has been our passion and is a dedicated personal and professional in our life to invest, which is for this academy. Athletics is the best day of our 50 years of career in athletics.”
Gladchuk has oversee the most successful era in the history of Naval athletics, as Midshipman has won four national championships, 251 conference titles, 12 commander-in-chief trophies, 352 All-American and 139 academic all-American have produced, and have gone to 16 bowls during their tenure.
Gladchuk also added six Versity sports to give the Navy 36 Versity Sports teams, who were the most tied to FBS with Stanford and Ohio State. After 134 years as a football independent, Gladchuk stepped into the US athletic conference in 2015.
