Raul Jimanez, Sander Berge, Willian and Antony Robinson changed their punishment for Phulham, which would face the Crystal Palace in the quarter -finals.
Fulham caught United’s defense to attack the flat-foot from Andreas Perera’s corner to attack the first blood second before Haftime, in which Rodrigo Muniz nodded for the house for Bessey in his first FA Cup appearance.
Fernandes leveled in the 71st minute when Dioogo Dalot cut it back from the left hand and the United skipper opened a left-foot shot from inside the 18-yard box, which had sent the last two Phulham defenders and the goalkeeper Leno to the distant corner to take the last two Phulham Guards and the goalkeeper Leno in an additional time.
“Incredible,” Leno told the BBC. “I think we were worthy of winning after 90 minutes. Of course, punishment, it’s sometimes a lottery and fately we won. The goal coach gave me some information, but my feeling is more important.
“I went wrong three times, but credit to our penalty takers – this is not easy. It is not easy.
Thirteen times FA Cup winner United defeated Manchester City last year and lost to the city in the 2023 finals.
But the people of Ruben Amorim have fought powerfully this season, ranked 14th in the Premier League at five places below Phulham.

United had many great opportunities to seal the victory seconds before the whistle. Leno came out of Alejandro Garnacho to save a point-written shot and then the 17-year-old Chido Obi stabbed the first ball of the net and then forced Leno to save the diving.
Fulham’s boss Marco Silva said that his team is eligible to win in normal times.
“I think we were the best team on the pitch. Our team dominated the ball on the ball,” he said. “We deserve to be in the next stage.”
Phulham reached his only FA Cup final in 1975 when he was defeated by West Ham United 2–0. Leno said that he would like to see his team back in the Vambali for the final.
“Two years ago we lost in the quarter -finals (for Manchester United) here and we are again in the quarter -finals,” he said. “We want to go vambali 100%.”
