Who will you return to sink a put to save your life? Tiger Woods? Jack Nickel? Ben Crench?
There is a lot of debate options, but it is unlikely that many people will look at a group of women in Murali, Scotland, with no professional golfing experience, many of which are far more mature than the average tour player.
Still perhaps they should do, because anyone who puts St. Andrews Ladies into the club handed over his life to an organization with a small game experience of more than 150 years.
Best Golf Course in Scotland
Established in 1867, the group is the oldest ladies golf club in the world, which is a title for some firm, golf-loving women-and some disgruntled men.
When St. Andrews Royal and Ancient (R&A) daughters of members of the club – widely considered as a historic home of the game – decided that they wanted to play golf, it was not a traditional activity for women. Crocket and archery were traditional options among the available limited options.
When the women worked on Caddy’s Putting course, which was used by those who added the golf bags of the members between the rounds, the caddies wanted them to leave almost immediately.
“He didn’t like it at all, and I don’t think members liked it very much,” club archives Eve Solsby told CNN’s The Jazzy Golfer.
But Caddies had a problem: as a club employees, they could not complain to the members. A compromise quickly emerged-to give a piece of ground next to the iconic Swalkan Bridge, which they could use as a nine-hole putting course.
It was a thick area, which was full of rabbit holes, devotes and sand, but it was a beginning. A month later, 22 women competed in the inaugural tournament of St. Andrews Ladies Golf Club.
The word spread quickly. By the end of the 1880s, membership was 600, including male associate members. Today, there is a growing waiting list to join 140-firm membership, keeping the tournaments a number low to run smoothly.

Soon after, the old Tom Morris, resident player of the course, and the greencapers, often referred to as “the founding father of golf”, decided that it would be a good idea to visit the Himalayan section near the course for women, so it has been designated because of its mountain topography.
Morris prepared an area for the club before retiring in 1895, when he was made an honorary member.
Solsby believes that early members of the club played an important role in achieving more freedom for the women of St. Andrews, in which the creation of women’s curriculum, which – with the Putting Course of the Himalayas – is playable for this day.
The income raised from visitors to the putting course is donated to local charitables, with an exception to give money to Ukrainian organizations last year.
Officially Jubilee course was named and opened in 1897, the fact that women nominated 18 holes were coined “The Duffers Course”, which reflects a commonly held approach to women during this period. “We pretend that it did not happen,” Solsby said.
Today, among those who carry torches for those early pioneers, the current chairman of the club is Sylvia Dune.
Since 2011, a member, helps to organize the weekly tournament of Dune Group; On Wednesday, a showpiece two-round event and a one-or-chain competition on Thursday morning for the so-called “Olds” that can struggle to manage several rounds.
“This is a comradery and everything, because if you grow up and you can’t play golf, you can’t do anything at home all day, and it’s really a very social club,” he said.
“The best part is later because they have coffee and biscuits and a blue.”

Members who win the tournament in the early 20th century can be fortunate to take a royal award. Club’s first Regal Dan came from Rajkumar Leopold, Queen Victoria’s youngest son and other trophies, later followed by Edward VIII and King George VI.
At one time, R&A Captain also donated trophies, but now he faces women in an annual 18 vs. 18 putting competition against women inserting clubs.
Dune is one of the most virus poons in the club, which performs six trophies in the same season during its best year. However, she believes that there may be a cruel mistress of green green color, even for her.
“One day recently I was very exaggerated,” she said. โWe have an award at the end of the season for most holes in one – so I suggested, isn’t it time that we had an award for most Mrs.?
โThere are many skills, but also have great luck. A few days the ball rolls for you and for other days, it will not fall into the hole. ,
