Oh! That is the matter.
The media defamation test of the century is on the proximity of kicking in Wilmington, Delaware in a few days.

This, clearly, is extraordinary to write those words. When I saw the Fox News Broadcasting Election Lie after the 2020 election, I never expected the network to be held in a meaningful way.
I have covered Fox News for some time. I have seen thousands and thousands of hours of programming right -wing channel. I have seen its hosts reducing public health over the years, anti-gross immigrants lie and propagating and pushing the principles of deranged conspiracy that were once reserved for the farthest of the right wing.
The network always seems to find a way to raise through controversy, even the most hellish storms have faced. Sometimes it is even stronger and more embossed than before.
But this time is different. This time, the normal tricks of the network will not free it from trouble during the time of crisis. This time, in a court of law, the network will need to carry forward an honest, fact-powered argument.
Fox News is about to enter True No Spin Zone, where deception is strictly banned. Where it is not in charge. And where its top officials such as Rupert Murdoch and Suzanne Scott cannot ignore a request for comment and support rather than attacking “media”, such as its top officials and Tucker Carlson and Scene Hanti.
In this setting, where lies cannot be negligent and the truth cannot be distorted beyond reality to fit a dishonest story, it will be attractive to see how the network’s fare is. If pre-testing hearing is an indicator, it will not be beautiful. The case has not even started and the Presiding Judge has already lost his patience with the legal team of Fox and has kept them on notice.
Perhaps the winds will shift for Fox News when the judge gavals in the test on Monday. But if they play the last few weeks of the court, Fox News is for a cruel ride.
