Chicago BlackHox sent Defenseman Seth Jones to Stanley Cup-Champion Florida Panthers on Saturday night.
The panthers picked up the fourth round of drafts of Jones, 30, and 2026 in exchange for the BlackHox, the Spencer Night, 23, and 2026 conditional in exchange for the first round pick. Chicago is retaining part of Jones’ contract through 2030, leading to its annual cap hit $ 7 million for panthers. Jones earns $ 9.5 million compared to the salary cap and is in the third year of an eight -year contract. Blackhox will maintain $ 2.5 million on Jones through 2030.
