    Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb addressed a press conference in Islamabad on 13 June 2024.

    Islamabad: Federal Minister of Federal Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb on Saturday left for the United States (US) to attend the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring 2025 meetings.

    The Finance Minister will meet senior officials of WB and IMF while participating in these major meetings prescribed for April 21-26 April.

    During his visit, Aurangzeb will also meet with finance ministers and equivalent leaders of China, Britain, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

    Meetings with senior officials of the US state and treasury departments are also part of the journey.

    Meetings will also be held during the visit with global credit rating agencies, officials of commercial and investment banks.

    Addressing investment forums and seminars during Finance CZAR visit will clarify the country’s economic scenario.

    Finance Minister will also participate in the 13th ministerial meeting of the alliance of Finance Ministers for climate action.

    He will address a round table discussion by Jefferies International ‘Pakistan’s economic approach, recent fiscal and monetary development and progress on improvement on improvements with IMF and progress on progress on engagement.

    The Finance Minister is also expected to address a session organized by the Center for Global Development (CGD) on the ongoing reforms in Pakistan and future challenges, and will also meet with Garzi Ghosh, Chairman, Global Policy and Planning Division, Gates Foundation.

    The minister will also hold a meeting with Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, who is a special advisor to the UN Secretary -General on the fiscal health and honorary patron of the G20 Global Partnership for financial inclusion.

    Aurangzeb is scheduled to visit the US leading think tanks and address the Atlantic Council on the “Year of the Year”. He will also address challenges and opportunities in front of the Pakistani economy “2025 and beyond and beyond.
