A federal judge ordered the immigration officers to close their efforts to arrest a student of Columbia University, which were engaged in Palestinian demonstrations. US District Judge Naomi Buchwald issued a bill order on Tuesday, when the student filed his case.

Chung’s trial states that he was never arrested or disciplined in connection with the incidents. However, he was later arrested during a 2025 protest at Barnard College.
