Tight, who gave Brazil coaching in the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup and has been very successful at the club level, has announced that he is moving away from the game indefinitely to fulfill his physical and mental welfare.
The 63 -year -old, who was admitted to the hospital due to a heart issue last August and the Brazilian media reported that he was worried overnight before flying from Rio de Janeiro to Sao Paulo, after which he decided to step back one step.
“I have to understand that, as a human being, I can be insecure. Accepting it that will definitely make me strong,” Tight, who gave coaching to Brazil by 2022, took them to two World Cup quarter -finals.
“I love what I do and I will continue, but as I talked to my family and paid attention to the signs that my body was giving me, I decided to do what is best now and to take care of myself to disrupt my career as long as I need to take care of myself.”
After being fired by flamego in less than a year of taking the job in less than a year, Tight has not done the coach anywhere, but was expected to sign a deal with the Corinthians on Tuesday, before he decides otherwise.
The coach said, “There was a conversation with the Corinthians, but it would have to be stopped due to a difficult but necessary decision.” He previously led the club for several titles including the 2012 Copa Libertdorce and Club World Cup. Tite has also given coaching to other Brazil’s club sides – most clearly Graimio, Atletico Miniro and Palamiras. His crown as a coach was guiding Brazil for the 2019 Copa America title at home, defeating Peru 3–1 in the final. In the 2021 edition, in Brazil, the hosts lost 0–1 to Argentina’s rival Argentina in Shikhar Clash.
Tight was a midfielder in his game’s days (1979–1990), but never represented Brazil, and retired at the age of 27 due to succession of knee injuries.
