Daniel Noboa, president of Ecuador’s hard-on-crime firebrand, was re-elected in Sunday’s runoff.
Noboa, the right-wing National Democratic Action Party is running under the label, defeated Luisa Gonzalez of the Left Citizen Revolution Movement-the party of former President Rafael Korea.

According to the National Electoral Council, Noboa received about 55.8% votes to 44% of Gonzalez.
