NYC Easter Parade And the Bonton Festival 2025 is in full swing, as the fifth avenue pastel colors, huge hats and creative costumes burst into the sea. The parade that closes at around 10 pm attracts a huge crowd of local people and tourists equally. It begins outside the St. Patrick Cathedral on the 50th Street.
From elegant vintage bonnets to derogatory handmade works, the parade continues north towards the 57th Street and is expected to maintain the festival till 4 pm today.

History of Easter Parade
The tradition of the Easter Parade goes back to the 1870s, when guilded -aged elite or rich Sochelites will walk on the fifth Avenue after the Easter month in St. Patrick Cathedral, so that they will show their spring final.
The incident gained the fame of pop culture after the 1948 music “Easter Parade”, starring Judy Garland and Fred Estair, strengthened its place in NYC history.
Even after so many years, the parade remains popular among people and is considered a celebration of self-expression and style, especially when it comes to hats. Paradzers become creative, sometimes even the crafting of bonnet from unpredictable materials such as recycled metrocard or upsicated household items.

Schedule
St. Patrick Cathedral will begin at 7 am throughout the day. The final mass is scheduled at 5:30 am. Cathedral says a ticket is required for 10 am. Spanish service has also been prescribed at 4 pm, wrapping the holy week celebrations starting from Palm Sunday on 13 April.
The best place to see
For the best visual seekers of the color parade, the area around the St. Patrick Cathedral (50th -51st roads) is a prominent place. However, the fifth Avenue between the 49th and 57th roads promises a festive and photo-qualified experience anywhere.
