“Doomsde Mom” Lori Vaalo Debel was convicted on Tuesday for conspiring to kill her fourth husband, Charles Vaalo.
A Maricopa County Superior Court jury found Vaalo Debel guilty for a conspiracy to kill the first-degree in a deadly shooting of July 2019.
Wallo Debel, who represented himself in the test, told the gamblers that his brother, Alex Cox shot Charles Vaelo into self -defense after a family logic. Cox’s death later died of a pulmonary embolism that year and was never accused.
According to Vaalo Debel, her husband made an argument with her daughter, tile Ryan, and threatened Kishore with the bat. Charles Valo was at his wife’s house in Arizona to take his son, Joshua “JJ” Vaelo to school.
Vaalo Debel, 51, was convicted in 2023 for killing her two children and her husband’s first wife Tami Debel in Idaho. She is already serving life in jail without the possibility of parole.
The prosecutors in the Arizona case rejected Vaalo Debel’s self -defense claim, arguing that she had several reasons for her husband to see dead, including the desire to start life with another person.
The prosecutor Treena K. in her inaugural statements said, “Lori wanted to become Lori Valo Chad Debel’s wife Lori Debel.
Kay continued: “She could marry Chad Debel and become Lori Debel. She would get a million-dollar life insurance policy from Charles Valo. She would get social security for herself and her son, JJ, who is as the father of a dead husband.
The prosecutor said that Vaalo Debel labeled those who disagreed with “dark” or “evil spirits” and used religion to justify the death of Charles Vaalo.
Wallo Debell and Chad Debell, a Doomsde writer, married in November 2019.
In his closing argument on Tuesday, Vaalo Debel said the prosecutors “tried to resume a crime which is not present.”
“Under the Arizona law, I had the right to self -defense. Tile had the right to self -defense. Alex had the right to self -defense. The event was not planned or not required. It was shocking,” she said. “This incident was not a crime. It was a tragedy. Do not try to convert their family into a crime.”
During the testing of Vaalo Debel, the jury heard from a medical examiner, who testified that Charles Vaelo could be lying on a floor like a floor when she was shot when she was shot. The deadly shot passed through his heart, the medical examiner Derek Bumgner said.
Adam Cox told the court that he had a “no doubt” his sister conspired to kill Charles Vaalo with his brother. He testified that before the shooting, Vaalo Debel was making strange religious comments and he and Charles Valo wanted to make an intervention to address it.
The other testimony included Chandler police officer Cassandra Yenklan, who told the court that Vaalo Debel on the day of her husband’s death “seemed to be a very simple and type of non -unique”.
The state rested its case last week. Vaalo Debel rested without presenting any evidence or calling any witness.
