The Business Disability Forum (BDF) has opened nominations for its disability Smart Awards 2025 Today (3 December). Disability Smart Awards 2025 are free to enter and open UK and global organizations in any field.
Now in their eleventh year, these annual awards demonstrate the work of organizations that are improving the experiences of disabled employees and consumers, including obstacles. The UK has a disability of 1 out of 4 people and the estimated annual expense power of people with disabilities in the UK is £ 274 billion.
There are 13 Disability Smart Awards categories for 2025, especially inclusive workplace experience and two new awards for small and medium -sized businesses around customer service.
Business Disability Forum CEO Dyne Lightfoot said:

We want to hear about projects that put disabled people in front and center, which recognize the value that disabled people bring to workplace, economy and society. ,

Disability Smart Diversity and Inclusion Professional Awards
The award will be given to someone working in diversity and inclusion, who has oversee real and tangible reforms for people with disabilities in the workplace and potentially beyond.
Disability Smart Leader Award
The award will be given to an inspiring leader who operated the disability inclusion agenda to break the obstacles experienced by people with disabilities and to break the obstacles experienced by people with disabilities.
Disability Smart Technology Award
The award will be given for the use of technology that has actually improved the opportunities and experiences of people with disabilities in the workplace or in a comprehensive society.
Disability Smart Inclusive Workplace Experience Award – Larger Organization (250+ Employees)
The award will be given to a large organization that is a great place to work and shows that it gives importance to the physical and mental health and goodness of all its workers, including people with disabilities.
Disability Smart Inclusive Workplace Experience Award – Small Organization (Up to 250 Employees)
The award will be given to a small organization that has introduced thoughtful, attractive and inclusive practices to develop, develop and flourish at work.
Disability Smart Inclusive Recruitment Award
The award will be given to an organization or team that has created innovative, inclusive and accessible recruitment campaigns, resulting in maximum recruitment of people with disabilities.
Disability Smart Inclusive Communication Campaign Award
The award will be given to an organization or team that has actually created an inclusive internal or external communication campaign, including people with disabilities.
Disability smart accessible environment award
The award will be given to an organization that has created accessible and inclusive physical places for everyone, including people with disabilities, and which promote physical and mental goodness.
Disability Smart Inclusive Customer Experience Award – Larger Organization (250+ Employees)
The award will be given to a large organization that provides excellent customer experience to all. This can be through customer service that they provide or create a new product or service.
Disability Smart Inclusive Customer Experience Award – Small Organization (Up to 250 Employees)
The award will be given to a small organization that indicates that size is not an obstacle to identify and meet the needs of disabled customers.
Disability Smart Global Disability Inclusion Award
The award will be given to a global organization or team that has exceeded the challenges of various places and cultures for people with disabilities globally.
Disability Smart Inclusive Product Design Award
The award will go to an organization or team that has created a new product which is both accessible and aspiring and it has considered the needs of people with disabilities.
Disability Smart Purchase Award
The award will go to an organization or team that has improved life opportunities and experiences for people with disabilities through the purchase of accessible products and using inclusive suppliers.
Disability smart award enrollment
The enrollment for the Disability Smart Awards 2025 opened on 3 December 2024 and closed on 17 January 2025. The winners will be announced at an award ceremony in London in AprilGo to the Disability Smart Awards page of Business Disability Forum, to find out how to enter and read about previous winners.
