After his divorce from Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, a social media post, calling Dhanashree Verma a “Gold Digar”, has created an online controversy, especially after Ritika Sajdeh, wife of Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma, like a viral video.
The video posted by a cricket-theme fan page has criticized Dhanashree Verma in the report of journalist Shubhankar Mishra, in which he said that he has accepted $ 550,000 (₹ 4.75 crore).
In the clip, Mishra questions Verma’s claim of being a “self-made woman”, while Chahal’s recent appearance refers to wearing a T-shirt that reads “B. Your on Sugar Daddy”.
Shubhankar Mishra says, “If you are accepting money, you should not be harassed by people who excavate people.”
The Post, titled “Harsh Reality of Today World”, saw the fans that Ritika Sajeh had liked the video.
Screenshots of her activity were widely broadcast on social media, in which users express surprise. Comments such as “Ritika Bhabhi liked” and “alimony 4.5 crores, while they have 6 million followers” flood the post.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma, who married in December 2020, allegedly started living separately in mid-201022 and filed for divorce earlier this year. His separation was finalized by a family court in Bandra on 20 March 2025.
While several reports had earlier estimated that Verma had demanded $ 7 million (₹ 60 crore) in alimony, his family issued a statement and rejected the claims, called them “baseless and rejected”.
The statement said that there is no truth for these rumors.
Verma, a choreographer and social media affected Verma with more than six million followers, has not yet responded to a renewed criticism or Ritika Sajdeh’s conversation with a viral post.
So far, neither Rohit Sharma nor Yuzvendra Chahal have publicly commented on the matter.
