Amid the ceremony for the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live”, fans noticed that a remarkable alumstory is not in appearance: Dan Akroed.
The “Ghostbusters” star, which was part of the opening “SNL” cast, later accepted his absence and revealed a “profit”.
“All the heads toas the victorious SNL 50th,” Acroid wrote on X on X in a post on Wednesday. “Benefits of not present – I got to see every second of the concert and show on TV. Quotes from my children: ‘Look at Daddy’s smile!’ It was from the beginning to the end.
Prior to the weekends of the ceremonies, Aykroyd “proudly was the co-founder of SNL as well as in those four years, five decades ago in those four years ago.”

Comedian, who was the youngest person in the original “SNL” cast roster, was on the show from his establishment from 1975 to 1979.
Aykroyd’s representative told the variety that he was unable to participate due to “pre -commitments”.
Back in November, it seemed that the “Blues Brothers” star would actually be a part of the show, just as it was for the 40th anniversary of “SNL”.
