In his second race weekend in the Red, Hamilton qualified on the pole position and won the 19-lap race, which took place in Shanghai on Saturday morning, which occurred before qualifying for a full-length grind prix.

Piastry passed Verustapane for the second place at 15 lap 15 of the race, but lost time for Hamilton and ended for 6.8 seconds behind the Ferrari driver on the checked flag.
