China strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffer Express in Balochistan on Wednesday and vowed to continue its strong support to Pakistan in combating terrorism, maintaining solidarity, social stability and protecting citizens.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said during his regular briefing in response to a question about a terrorist attack on a train carrying more than 450 passengers in Balochistan province, “We noted the reports and strongly condemn the terrorist attack.”

He said that China strongly opposed terrorism in any form and said: “We will continue to support Pakistan strongly in fighting terrorism, maintaining solidarity and social stability and protecting the safety of citizens.”

He said that China is ready to strengthen counter terrorism and security cooperation with Pakistan and jointly keeps the region peaceful, safe and stable.

    US condemned the attack

The United States also condemned the trains to take terrorist attacks and take hostage of passengers, claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army-a US-specific nominated global terrorist group.

“We express our deep sympathy and condolences to the victims, their families and all those affected by this dreadful act,” the American Embassy Islamabad said in a post.

“Pakistani people deserve to be free from violence and fear. The United States will remain a stable partner of Pakistan in the efforts to ensure the safety and security of all its citizens. We will stand in solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time.”

During the ongoing operation to save the hostages, Pakistan’s security forces have so far freed more than 150 passengers, including women and children.

An unknown number of militants blew up a railway track, set it on fire, and kidnapped the Jaffer Express train near Balochistan’s Bolon-which was on a 30-hour long journey to carry about 400 passengers-it was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar on Tuesday.

According to security sources, security forces have saved a large number of hostages including women and children. The rescued citizens were being used as a human shield by terrorists.

During the clearance operation, the security forces took full care due to being involved in innocent life.

The number of passengers embracing the martyrdom is being determined, the sources said, saying that all the terrorists present at the site of the incident were killed.

Sources had earlier stated that suicidal attackers were catching women and children at three different places, using them as human shields.

Meanwhile, 37 injured persons have been taken out for medical treatment, security sources have been confirmed. The situation is stressful as efforts are underway to neutralize the danger.

After the day -long efforts, security forces successfully freed at least 190 hostages and abolished 30 terrorists, promising to continue the operation until the final terrorists were defeated.
