Beijing: China has called the employed New US tariffs a serious mistake and warned that if Washington proceeds with a step of imposing a 50 percent tariff, it will respond with the firm counterents.
A ministry spokesperson said, “The US threat to increasing the tariff against China is a mistake at the top of a mistake, which once again reveals America’s blackmailing nature.”
“China will never accept it,” he said.
“If the US insists on going in its own way, China will fight it to the end,” the spokesperson warned.
“If the US enhances its tariff measures, China will take a complete countercers to protect its rights and interests,” he said.
Trump raised the world economy last week with a wide tariff, which feared a global recession and also criticized his own Republican party.
As the trade war grows, Beijing – Washington’s leading economic rival – unveiled their own 34 percent of their own duties on American goods to be effective on Thursday.
China’s Commerce Ministry also reiterated on Tuesday that it demanded “dialogue” with the United States, and that “no winners in the trade war”.
