China is considering exempting some American imports from its 125% tariffs and asking businesses to provide a list of goods that may be eligible in the biggest signal so far that the economic decline from its business war with Beijing Washington is concerned about the economic decline.
A Commerce Taskforce Ministry is collecting a list of goods that can be exempted from tariffs and is asking companies to present their own requests, according to a source, which was spoke on the condition of anonymity.
