A brand of celery sold in Walmart is being called back due to the risk of listeria.
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on Thursday that Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. Remembering its ready-to-Eat celery rods. The specific product is the brand washed and ready-to-Eat 4-inch/1.6 ounces of markside celery rods, which “was recommended” due to the possibility of contamination with Listeria monocytozens.
As noted by the Disease Control and Prevention Center (CDC), Lysteeria is a “bacteria that can contaminate many foods, with” Listeria monocytozens bacteria “with infections caused by eating food. Although the symptoms may be different -altitude, a listeia infection can “cause an aggressive disease and intestinal disease.”

The bag of celery rods was the best date of March 23, 2025. Although the best date has passed, any celery is preserved in its freezer or on the hand, urged to throw food as it still pose a health risk.
