The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of India has presented a closure report, which actress Riya Chakraborty, her family and others are cleared with any participation in the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The CBI concluded that there was no evidence to support the claims of elimination of suicide, and therefore, demanded the closure of the case.
The closure report filed in the court on Friday, Sushant’s sister Priyanka, Riya’s parents, and her brother Shoaik Chakraborty also meet with a doctor mentioned in a counter-family.
The decision follows an investigation initiated after a complaint by Rajput’s father, who accused Riya and others of causing her son’s death.
In response to the news, Shoaik Chakraborty shared a video on Instagram, in which she captioned with “Satyamev Jayate” (Satya alone victory) while walking with Riya, expressing his relief and praise for the result.
The two siblings were first arrested by the Bureau (NCB) of narcotics on allegations of drug-related crimes in 2020, but they remain separate from the CBI investigation.
On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death initially led to an accidental death report (ADR) by the Mumbai Police.
However, his death launched a large -scale media frenzy and several investigations, including CBI and NCB. Rajput, known for his roles in films, was 34 years old at the time of his death.
