    • A 7.7 magnitude earthquake rocked Burma on Friday, killing over 2,700 people, reducing the human crisis caused by a civil war.
    • The toll of death is expected to increase, but the earthquake hit a wide health of the country, leaving many areas without electricity, telephone or cell connections and damage roads and bridges, making it difficult to assess the entire range of destruction.
    • The World Health Organization stated that more than 10,000 buildings are known for collapse or severely damaged in Burma. The earthquake also hit neighboring Thailand, leading to a tall building under construction to collapse and bury many workers.

Rescuers rescued a 63 -year -old woman from the rubble of a building in Burma’s capital on Tuesday, but Hope was disappearing to find many more survivors of violent earthquakes, who killed more than 2,700 people, reduced the humanitarian crisis caused by a civil war.

The fire department in Naypyitaw said that the woman was successfully pulled from the rubble 91 hours after burying when the building fell into an earthquake of 7.7 magnitude which was hit on Friday afternoon. Experts say that the possibility of finding the remaining people falls dramatically after 72 hours.

Forecast for increasing number of deaths

Senior General Min Aung Hling, head of Burma’s military government, told a platform at Nayptav that 2,719 people have now been found dead, 4,521 others injured and 441 missing, Myanmar’s Western News Online Portal.

Those figures are expected to grow widely, but the earthquake hit a wide health of the country, leaving many areas without electricity, telephone or cell connections and damage roads and bridges, making it difficult to assess the entire range of destruction.

Most of the reports so far have come from the second largest city in Mandal, Burma, near the earthquake sub -station, and Naypatavat.

“The needs are largely in a big way, and they are growing from hours,” said UNICEF deputy representative for Burma.

“The window is closing for a lifestyle response. In affected areas, families are facing a rapid decrease of clean water, food and medical supply.”

The fire department of Burma said that 403 people have been rescued in Mandalay and so far 259 bodies have been found. In an incident alone, the monastery was killed after 50 Buddhist monks who were taking religious examinations in a monastery and after being buried in more than 150 debris.

    Structural damage is widespread

The World Health Organization said that over 10,000 buildings in total have collapsed or severely damaged in the middle and north -west Burma.

The earthquake also shook neighboring Thailand, leading to a high-growing building under construction to collapse and bury many workers.

Two bodies were pulled from the rubble on Monday and recovered on another Tuesday, but dozens were still missing. Overall, 21 people were killed and 34 injured in Bangkok, mainly at the construction site.

In Burma, search and rescue attempts in the affected area stopped briefly on Tuesday afternoon as people were standing in a silent tribute to the dead for a minute.

Efforts to move forward at a dull speed

Foreign aid workers are slowly coming to help in rescue efforts, but progress was slow with heavy machinery shortage in many places.

On Tuesday, in a site of Naypyitaw, workers formed a human chain, which used to pass by hand by hand to hand by hand to hand by hand from the hands of brick and concrete from the ruins of a collapsed building.

Burma of Burma military government’s official global new Roshni Burma said on Tuesday that a team of Chinese rescue team rescued four people a day before the ruins of Sky Villa, a large apartment complex that fell during the earthquake. They consisted of a 5 -year -old pregnant woman who was trapped for more than 60 hours.

The same publication also reported that two teenagers were able to crawl out of the debris of the same building, where rescue teams were working, using their cellphone flashlight to help them guide them. Rescue workers were then able to use the details that they asked them to find out their grandmother and brother -in -law.

International rescue teams from several countries, including Russia, China, India, United Arab Emirates and many Southeast Asian countries, are on the spot. The US embassy said an American team was sent, but had not yet come.

Help vows as officers as a warning of risk of outbreak of patients

Meanwhile, many countries have assisted with millions of assistance to assist Burma and Human Assistance Organizations.

Even before the earthquake, more than 3 million people were displaced from their homes by a cruel civil war of Burma, and about 20 million were needed according to the United Nations.

Many people already lacked basic medical care and standard vaccination, and the destruction of water and hygiene infrastructure increases the risk of outbreak of disease, warning the United Nations to coordinate human affairs to the office of human affairs.

Och said in its latest report, “The displacement of thousands of people in crowded shelters in association with the destruction of the infrastructure of water and hygiene has greatly increased the risk of outbreak of communicable disease.”

He said, “The vulnerability is increasing for vaccine-pre-problems such as respiratory infections, skin diseases, vector-related diseases such as dengue fever, and measles,” it has been said.

The beginning of the monsoon season is also a matter of concern

Shelter is also a major problem, especially with the monsoon season.

Since the earthquake, many people are sleeping outside, either because the houses were destroyed or excluded from fear of afterchox.

    Civil War Disaster Complicates Relief

Burma’s army confiscated power from Aung San Suu Kyi’s democratically elected government in 2021, which has turned into significant armed resistance and a cruel civil war.

Government forces have lost control over most of Burma, and it was dangerous or impossible for help groups in many places even before the earthquake.

Military attacks and people from some anti-sugar groups have not stopped after the earthquake, although the Chhaya Opposition National Integration Government has called a one-sided ceasefire for its forces.

Burmese government claimed that it killed 76 villagers

The nag established by the elected MPs in 2021 asked the international community to ensure that humanitarian aid is directly distributed to earthquake victims, “Military Juten urges vigilance against any attempt to disrupt humanitarian aid.”

Nag said in a statement, “We are in the race against time to save life.”

“These efforts will have disastrous consequences of any obstruction, not only due to the effect of earthquake, but also due to the continuous cruelty of the jute, which actively hinders the delivery of lifestyle aid.”

It was not immediately clear whether the army was disrupting humanitarian aid. In the past, it initially refused to allow foreign rescue teams or several emergency supply after Cyclone Nargis in 2008, resulting in over 100,000 deaths. Even once it allowed foreign aid, it was accompanied by serious sanctions.

In this case, however, Min Aung Holting said on the day of the earthquake that the country would accept the help outside.

Tom Andrews, a monitor on rights in Burma commissioned by the United Nations -backed Human Rights Council, said on X that for the convenience of assistance, military attacks would have to be stopped.

“In Burma, meditation should be on saving life, not taking them,” he said.
