The largest book fair in Bundelkhand region has started in Jhansi. This 7-day program was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of Bundelkhand University Prof. The Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University, Bihar, was performed by Mukesh Pandey. Siddharth Singh and Commissioner Bimal Kumar were with Dubey.
More than 60 publishers from across the country have gathered at the fair, bringing more than 100,000 books with them. Apart from Hindi, books will be available in other languages, as well as publishing science and technology.
Pro. Mukesh Pandey highlighted the local 18 that various other educational activities are also taking place during the fair. They emphasized the value of books, given that they provide companionship, especially when someone is traveling or staying away from home.
“Knowledge comes from either experience or books,” he said, “life is very low to achieve all experiences, but books can greatly increase someone’s understanding, imagination and knowledge. The pleasure of turning and reading pages is unmatched by any electronic device.”
Commissioner Bimal Kumar Dubey expressed concern about the dwindling interest in reading due to the prevalence of mobile phones and internet. He underlined the importance of studying books as the primary source of knowledge, complementing whatever he has learned from teachers.
He said, “Living among books promotes the character in a way, which cannot do artificial intelligence,” he said, while AI can build images, it cannot build a character. Books pave the way for new knowledge and nourish relationships with books will help shape a new culture and nation. “
