Chrysfulli addressed these concerns, given that several incidents including Australia’s pre-Olympic rowing camps were held there earlier.
Rowing Australia acknowledged the exaggeration of the media of crocodile concerns, but raised questions about the current and Olympic suitability of the river.
Liveris replied, “There are sharks in the sea and we still do sailing and we still surf. It’s a type of Hollywood-Eish. I am not worried about crocodiles.”
The protesters gathered in both the revision declaration and Victoria Park, expressing opposition to the stadium’s plans.
