It is said that sometimes real -life is more stranger than imagination, and it seems true in the case of Indian cricketer Amit Mishra. Former Indian spinner- who has played in testing, ODI, T20S for India and IPL- has found himself in an unexpected controversy. 42 -year -old Amit Mishra is unmarried. However, the Indian cricketer has allegedly booked for domestic violence and dowry harassment by his ‘wife’. Yes, you read that right!
According to reports, Mishra’s wife has filed a complaint in compensation in search of 1 crore in compensation and has also accused the cricketer’s family of demanding INR 10 lakh more cars in the form of dowry at the time of her marriage. Saying these reports as “wrong”, the Indian cricketer has now not only rejected the reports, but has also threatened to take legal action against the press.
Taking the X, Amit Mishra posted, “I am very disappointed with the operation being conducted in the media. I have always respected the press, but while the news itself can be accurate, the picture used is mine- which is completely wrong. Which is completely wrong. I must stop using my image for unrelated stories, or I have to be forced to take legal action.”
Commenting on this bizarre incident, Amit Mishra further told IANS on 22 April, “It is really disappointing to see what is being operated. My picture is used in a fake news story. I am unmarried, and it is well known – yet such baseless stories are being published with my image. If they are not making their mistakes.
Mishra’s coach Sanjay Bhardwaj also spoke in favor of the cricketer and slammed false reports against him. In order to urge the press not to give or spread false news, Bhardwaj said, as reported by News18, “Amit Mishra is unmarried. Why such a story was broadcast, it is beyond our comprehension. It is not journalism. He should verify the facts before publishing such reports.”

New Delhi, 22 April (IANS) former India spinner Amit Mishra has clearly dismissed “wrong” and “unrelated” media reports, claiming that he and his family members were booked in domestic violence and dowry harassment filed by the cricketer’s wife.
